COLLABORATIVE FAMILY LAW TRAINING, is a two-day intensive course for attorneys, child specialists, divorce coaches, financial consultants and mediators seeking to participate in this dynamic new practice.

Completion of this course is required for membership in the Institute.

Level 1 Training:  February 26-27, 2008 (ICLE - Atlanta, GA)*
Level 1 Training:  February 24-25, 2009 (ICLE -Atlanta, GA)*

TRAINING COURSE CONTENT

INTRODUCTION TO COLLABORATIVE FAMILY LAW for attorneys, child specialists, divorce coaches, financial consultants and mediators committed to the resolution of family disputes without litigation or the threat of litigation.

THE INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM IN ACTION: The paradigm shift that transforms the practice of family law into a collaborative process. Trainees can expect lectures (which focus on skill development), interactive experiences using demonstrations and role plays based on real case examples.

Membership Rquirements Effective January 1, 2008:

1.  Annual Dues: $245, which includes required dues for IACP of $95.00 (Check or money order only; sorry, no credit cards);

2.  Member in Good Standing with current license in your own profession;

3.  Maintain professional liability insurance;

4.  Completion of a 2-Day Basic Collaborative Practice Training that meets IACP requirements;

5.  Upon completion or termination of a collaborative matter, Agreement to complete an IACP Collaborative Practice Survey and Distribute Client Survey where appropriate;

6.  Continuing Collaborative Practice Training Requirement (after 1st year of membership):

     a.  4 Hours - if you have completed 2 or more collaborative cases during the previous calendar year; or

     b.  8 Hours - if you have completed fewer than 2 collaborative cases during the previous calendar year;

7.  Maintain membership in International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) (discounted dues to be collected with annual membership dues as set forth in 1. above); and

8.  Agree to uphold the CLIG standards for collaborative practice.
